Art has been my passion since an early age. My 2nd grade teacher encouraged me and later offered private painting lessons. I graduated from Bethel College in 1972 with a major in art. As a young mother I took calligraphy classes from Jane Van Milligan in Wichita and had the opportunity to go to London for a year to study calligraphy and bookbinding at Roehampton University and decorative manuscript painting at Reigate Institute.
